In the following article, we list various projects where we have implemented Jira for our clients (since 2015), as well as other Atlassian tools.

Since we have a broad methodological background in software development and years of accumulated technological experience working with task management tools and software development projects (among others), we are able to evaluate tools in depth quickly. This allows us to recommend the most suitable development methods and tools to our clients, tailored to their specific needs.

During the process of evaluating tools and adapting them to client requirements, we emphasize the most modern software development methodologies available today, including:

  • Version and Source Control
  • Issue Tracking
  • Continuous Integration / Deployment (CI/CD)
  • Methodologies and flows, including DevOps / Agile / Scrum / Kanban
  • Code Review
  • Code Quality
  • ChatOps

We possess extensive experience in both software development and infrastructure management (System / DevOps / IT), enabling us to provide comprehensive, end-to-end solutions.

This is a “rolling” list that is updated continuously. To receive updates and tips on Jira, we recommend joining our mailing list – you can join by leaving your email at the end of this article.

Projects where we implemented Jira or custom capabilities (extending Jira):

To keep the list manageable, I have divided it into two sections:
Projects that were primarily Application Implementations (focusing on workflows and tool usage),
and a list related to Infrastructure Implementations of Jira.
(Despite this division, some projects involved both application and infrastructure aspects).

1) Jira Application Projects:

  1. Design and execution of an automated Release Notes report based on an Excel file. This runs automatically every day, pulls data from JIRA (via API), and automatically prepares a sophisticated Excel file containing reports and graphs according to client requirements, finally sending them directly via email. More information here.
  2. Case Study: Migrating a client (Shva) from Jira Server on-prem to Jira Cloud.
  3. Hebrew localization for a client (examining various solutions and implementing the most suitable one).
  4. Implementing Xray alongside Jira, including test management methodologies and automated testing.
  5. Evaluating similar Plugins to decide which is the best for a specific need.
  6. Connecting Jira to Git and building development processes and automations accordingly.
  7. Implementing a connection between Jira and GitLab.
  8. Migrating a client from Excel to JIRA.
  9. Developing Hebrew support for Jira and support for mixed RTL (Right-to-Left) and LTR writing (as a Chrome Extension).
  10. Building software development processes for a client and implementing Jira as a bug tracking and task management tool.
  11. Defining KPIs for daily reports + building a dashboard suitable for developers + providing training on the subject.
  12. Changing the graphical display of Jira and customizing the Theme according to client requirements (work combining graphic design + modification of JS, CSS, and HTML files).
  13. Comparing issue tracking products based on client requirements and recommending the appropriate tool (examining Jira, GitLab, Taiga, Trello, TFS).
  14. Implementing a connection between Jira and GitHub.
  15. Migrating a client from general Jira usage (formerly Jira Core) to specific Scrum capabilities (using Jira Software), including building boards and dashboards for users. Performed for a client transitioning to Scrum.
  16. Connecting Jira to ClearCase and vice versa. Included pulling data from Jira and writing a plugin for JIRA.
  17. Automated preparation of Release Notes / VDD documents, pulling up-to-date data from Jira.
  18. Migrating a task management system from GitLab to Jira, and vice versa.
  19. Writing automations for the purpose of significant cost savings in Jira Cloud Premium (more info by clicking the link).

2) Jira Infrastructure Projects:

  1. Hardening the Jira environment and adding information security and cloud security components (using Atlassian Guard and additional tools).
  2. Migrating a client from ClearQuest to Jira (a process that included moving complex processes and automations).
  3. Moving a Jira environment from the public Atlassian Cloud to a private server.
  4. Implementing Bot tools for Jira users.
  5. Migrating a Jira environment to Azure Cloud (we can also migrate to AWS, GCP, and private clouds).
  6. Performance testing and monitoring of Jira servers to improve performance and identify bottlenecks.
  7. Upgrading clients to updated versions of Jira (versions 7, 8, and above).
  8. Implementing Jira Core in the cloud.
  9. Providing Managed Services in private and public clouds, including SLA options and Hebrew support.
  10. conducting a cost-benefit analysis for switching deployment types (such as moving from Cloud to Data Center or vice versa).
  11. Migration from Jira Server to Jira Cloud.
  12. Automated data transfer from Jira to Slack, and vice versa (based on a set of text criteria, data, and pre-defined states, also configurable by end-users).
  13. Monitoring Jira using Grafana (more info by clicking the link).

Projects we’ve implemented other Atlassian tools: (partial list)

  1. Implementing Bitbucket as a solution over Git (and connecting it to Jira Software including Agile processes).
  2. Implementing Confluence.
  3. Implementing plugins.
  4. Developing Hebrew support for Confluence.
  5. Connecting Confluence to Mattermost.
  6. Evaluating Bamboo and implementing it as an alternative solution to Jenkins.
  7. Writing an integration with HipChat for a performance monitoring product we developed for Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, GitLab, ClearCase, and ClearQuest.
We recently added the ability to send monitoring results directly to Slack.
