Sonar announced this week the acquisition of Gitar.AI,
which developed an AI-powered Code Review and code fixing tool.
This tool performs smart Code Reviews, and essentially resolves the bottleneck currently created by AI-generated code (as the workload shifts to the next node – the Code Review).
The tool also allows defining rules and connecting to CI workflows and CI rules,
thereby contributing to reducing the workload on senior developers and/or team leaders who are needed for Code Reviews.
It also enables faster merges and quicker delivery.
